Just how dumb are the British electorate???

March 26th, 2010 by admin

Very, it would seem.

Fow what it’s worth, and that is nothing, I have voted for both main parties in the past when I lived in the UK  and it was worth exactly that, nothing , as the electoral system dictated that my vote was pointless with huge majorities for the ‘other’ party in the constituencies I happened to live in at the time.

On one occasion I was tempted to vote for the Liberals but when I requested a manifesto they told me to vote Labour as they had no chance of winning.

So, all that preamble was simply to say I have no emotional or intellectual allegiance to any party, what I do have is a disdain for the British electorate that is bordering on pathological disgust.

Brown has destroyed the British economy with his adject failure to regulate the banks and allowing the credit boom to carry him on a crest of a wave of financial delusion to power.

He is the Gollum of politics, with the Prime Ministerial office his Ring.

Credit cards fell like confetti through the letterboxes throught the UK, mortgage ‘advisors’ aided and abetted the gross negligence of the banks by selling mortgages to people who had no hope of paying them back when the bubble burst.

Banks traded derivatives – bags of betting slips sold wholesale with no-one even having a clue what the bets were , let alone if there could or would ever be any payout.

And he did nothing. Or rather he encouraged it. He wanted power, the people had to feel good.

So, when the bubble burst, what did he do?  He recalled Mandleson, that paragon of virtue, twice disgraced and dismissed from cabinet office, to peddle the lie that it was a ‘Worldwide Recession’, and that Brown was in fact the saviour, not one of the main instigators.

A country headed by an unelected PM, and effectively run (or rather , spun),  by a disgraced and unelected ‘Lord’ !!

You couldn’t make it up.

And the kicker? According to the polls, millions of people want to vote him in again.

Pathetic.
